Collect Crafting Components
To build and Diablo 4 Items upgrade your Horadric Powers, you must gather the following:
1. Catalysts
These define the core function of a Horadric Spell (e.g., beam, explosion, area pull).
Drop sources: Seasonal events, elite enemies, dungeon chests, and quest rewards.
2. Infusions
These determine the elemental type of your spell (e.g., Fire, Cold, Poison, Lightning).
Drop sources: Helltide caches, seasonal bounties, and specific world bosses.
3. Arcana
These are magical modifiers that grant utility effects (e.g., Unstoppable, Vulnerable, Fortify).
Drop sources: Whisper tree turn-ins, PvP zones, and elite mobs.
4. Horadric Jewels
These passive components scale with how many Arcana of a certain type you use.
Drop sources: Nightmare Dungeons, strongholds, and Season 9 challenges.
Step 4: Craft and Equip Your Powers
Once you have the materials, return to the Horadric Interface and begin crafting:
Select your Catalyst
Choose an Infusion
Apply an Arcana modifier
This will generate a new spell that you can equip in your ability bar, similar to any class skill. You can also equip Horadric Jewels in a separate UI to unlock passive enhancements.
